OUT IN THE OPEN | MURAL PROJECT
Now we are finally launching the grand project "Out in the Open" after a year of preparation. Our goal is to create a growing number of murals in the city by high-profile national and international artists, and thereby highlight Aalborg even more as an art and culture center while simultaneously creating an energetic public space for the benefit of all citizens. The artists selected for this are all highly recognised artists, which has been important; the quality must be top notch. |

ROBERT (TONE) PROCH | MICHAL (SEPE) WREGA
"MAYDAY MAYDAY!"
The first mural made by the two international acknowledged Urban Art artists; Robert "Tone" Proch og Michal "Sepe", is already completed in Ladegårdsgade where you can walk by and enjoy the fantastic piece "Mayday Mayday".
After having read that Denmark consists of many low-lying costal areas including Aalborg, the artists in the piece take point of departure in two scouting figures who are searching for help, while the water by their feet keeps rising.
We are proud to present a mural in Aalborg by two such recognized artist on the global Urban Art scene for all citizens to enjoy.

Jonas Pihl
"INNER OUTER SPACE"
Being the only Danish artist at the project the acknowledged young artist Jonas Puhl nowalso just finished another mural.
Jonas Pihl was born in 1978 and lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark. He expresses himself through paintings, collage, assemblage, sculpture, sound and installations which revolve around the concepts of time and space.
With inspiration from pop-art, he creates paintings with a three-dimensional and spacious perspective by using optical illusion. The works have a colorful, detailed and chaotic character that are similar to pop-art and psychedelic art. |

FAITH47
At the same time, the very acknowledged Urban Art name Faith47 comes to Aalborg, where she will start on a huge murals in a few months.
Faith47 is born in 1979 and comes from Capetown, South Africa, despite his young age already achieved extreme recognition for her unique expression.

ETAM CREW
The two Polish street artists Sainer and Bezt are doing some incredible artwork around Europe. Together, they are the Etam Cru and they are putting Polish street art on the map with their incredible large-scale pieces that can span buildings 10 stories high. While the gallery below highlights their street art murals, both artists also do fantastic canvas work using oils and acrylics.

ARYZ
The last few years there has been much buzz about this Spanish urban artist. The young artist is slowly but surely becoming a household name. Aryz creates stunning, intricately detailed works using spray paint and paint rollers, and that’s not all - Aryz is also an illustrator. The artist was born in Barcelona,Spain and has drawn sporadically since childhood, he began his career on a summer day with some friends. His passions for art and fun are his motivation. We can't wait to get him here!
