We are very happy to be able to continue our 'Out in the Open' mural project for the seventh year in a row, adding another six new murals to Aalborg's unique urban space, which today consists of more than 70 murals.
With the mural project 'Out in the Open', we want to bring out art of the highest quality to the many and not just the few in an easily accessible manner.
So the six new artists are all picked from the top shelf of the international urban art stage.
Dutch Telmo Miel has just visited Aalborg and has done a great job at Klostermarksskolen, while American Joe Iurato has just arrived and is now working on Gammeltorv in downtown Aalborg.
After this, the mural artists will arrive one by one until mid-September.
The artists will also exhibit their work on canvas in the gallery with the opening of a group exhibition this Saturday.
You will here be able to meet Joe Iurato and hear him talk about his work and his recently completed mural on Gammeltorv in Aalborg at 12.30 PM.
We look forward to seeing you all again after a wonderful summer, and we hope you will enjoy the making of the murals around Aalborg, which you will be able to follow until next month.
