EMMANUEL JARUS

Emmanuel Jarus also know as Young Jarus is a Canadian-born artist and muralist, known for his innovative approach to reimagining public spaces through art. Drawing inspiration from the visual human experience, Jarus has spent the last decade collaborating with communities in Canada and around the world, creating large-scale representational work outdoors on buildings, trains, boats, and rooftops, among other surfaces. His style, heavily influenced by the post-impressionistic period but with the use and reinvention of new materials commonly found in hardware shops, has earned him international acclaim as a contemporary muralist and figurative painter.

Central to Jarus's art is the exploration of human emotions and experiences, stepping beyond traditional realism to engage deeply with figurative expression. His innovative use of materials in art highlights his commitment to not only aesthetic beauty but also practical ingenuity and sustainability. He aims to observe life, interpret it, and reflect these observations in his art. The content of each piece is inspired by the surroundings of the site, allowing the artwork to emerge organically and resonate with the community it inhabits.
