Introduction from former minister Marie Bjerre besides several of the artists.
Following the recent completion of yet another large-scale mural, with several more in the pipeline, the gallery now invites you to experience URBAN STORIES, an exhibition exploring the intersection between the urban art scene, classical artistic training, and the public realm.
The exhibition brings together eight internationally acclaimed artists whose practices move fluidly between mural, canvas, and the urban landscape.
Among the exhibition’s new additions is the internationally acclaimed British artist duo SNIK, consisting of Nik Ellis and Laura Perrett. The duo is renowned for their photorealistic and almost ethereal figurative works, in which the human body is often portrayed in dynamic, suspended moments.
With an extraordinary sensitivity to materiality and detail, from tangled hair to the folds and textures of fabric, SNIK creates works in which photographic precision meets a poetic, almost dreamlike visual language.

At the opening, visitors will have the opportunity to experience SNIK’s work on canvas, while also gaining an insight into their monumental practice as the duo’s work later moves beyond the gallery space and onto the façade of a building.
Another new addition to the gallery is Mexican artist Alexis Mata, born in Mexico City in 1981, where he continues to live and work.
Mata has gained international recognition for his distinctive naturalistic visual language and his interpretations of desert landscapes, often disrupted by digital glitches, pixelation, and other visual distortions.
His artistic practice explores the relationship between perception, error, and the surreal, gradually transforming familiar landscapes into something both otherworldly and unsettling. Saturated colours and digital disruptions create a tension between the physical and the virtual, between what we see and what we believe we are seeing.
From Britain, we also present Guy Denning, whose striking charcoal drawings have gained international recognition for their intense and deeply human expression. Working primarily with the raw materiality of charcoal, Denning explores the complexities of the human emotional landscape, from grief and melancholy to joy, hope, and wonder. His works possess a distinctive psychological depth, where ambiguity and fragmentation become integral elements of the narrative. Denning currently lives and works in Finistère, France.
At the same time, URBAN STORIES presents brand new works by several of the gallery’s other acclaimed artists, including Telmo, Martin Whatson, and Hera of Herakut, further expanding the dialogue between international voices within contemporary urban art. URBAN STORIES is therefore not simply a presentation of eight artists, but a meeting point between different artistic practices, mediums, and perspectives, from hand-cut stencil and monumental mural painting to the immediate materiality of charcoal and the fragmented visual language of the digital world.
