It is with great pleasure we’re now ready to welcome five truly significant international artists at the international urban art scene.

In particular, we have succeeded in including three brand new names; the American Drew Merritt, the Dutch Super A, and the Polish Tankpetrol, all of whom have left a notable mark on the urban art scene.

This applies both to painting and large scale murals. While their primary medium was originally painting, many of them are classically trained, before developing their expression through murals around the world.

Several of the artists at the show will also visit Aalborg to add more murals to the gallery’s mural project “Out in the Open” during the summer, as we now open the thirteenth season of the project looking forward to new fantastic works in Nørresundby and Aalborg.

With the upcoming show, we aim to give an impression of some of the current expressions at the urban art scene, and what can be expected with new murals during the summer.

We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday, where our local monastery director and former minister Flemming Møller Mortensen will open the exhibition at 12:30 pm.
