'Arising Realities'

'ARISING REALITIES'

It is with great pleasure we're presenting the first solo exhibition from MIEL (Telmo Miel).
After many years as part of the duo Telmo Miel, Miel has been working the last three years on presenting unique pieces for his first solo show, while the collaboration on murals with Telmo Miel goes on.

'Arising Realities' features a new collection of surrealistic oil paintings that guide the viewer through human perceptions, wrapped into blurry dreams.
Miel reflects on everyday life in a very special way. By weaving together complex details and imaginative images, he creates works that bridge the boundaries between reality and fantasy. Each work invites us to travel through layered dimensions of emotion, where familiar forms are transformed into something differently unfamiliar.
The works are thus an attempt to poke through superficial layers into our inner worlds. “Arising Realities” is an invitation to contemplate the mysteries of the mind and the infinite possibilities that lie within our thoughts.

Miel Krutzmann (born 1984) is a Dutch contemporary artist known for his striking and imaginative paintings. Miel was born and raised in Amsterdam, where he showed a great interest in art from a young age. This interest and dedication led him, at the age of just 16, to the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Subsequently, he took the formal art education at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.

Miel's art is distinguished by its surreal quality, where he paints a mix of hyperrealistic elements with abstract and imaginative motifs. His works often explore the theme; human emotions, which he conveys in a contrasting universe between the real and the imaginary. His meticulous attention to detail and vivid use of color makes his works very recognizable and it is hard not to get caught up in his universe.
