Eske Kath was born in 1975 and educated at the Royal Danish Art Academy from 1997 until 2003. In periods, he has worked with inspiration from baroque and romantic judgement day motifs, where has removed the christian symbols and retained compositional traits like verticality and spiral movements.
Recurring elements in his works are fire, explosions, and natural catastrophes like tornadoes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions that ravage small homes. Shapes and surfaces are reduced to the abstract, while colours are clear and luminous.
